Hangover 3 ***

Hangover 3 I was very hesitant to watch this movie due mainly to the fact that I didn't really like the second one. I also had a few friends tell me that it was horrible and that there wasn't a "Hangover" moment. But I watched it anyway and surprisingly I really enjoyed it I thought it was a great conclusion to there friendship. I enjoyed seeing them reunited with old friends and foes and really enjoyed seeing the baby as a four year old (yes that is the real baby as a real 4 year old). I thought that was a great touch. Also the slight maturing of Alan into a "man" when he meets his "soul mate". I was also glad they didn't have another hangover moment twice was enough lol. It was a perfectly sober rundown of the last four years and I thought it was a great way to have closure for the characters. Yes I understand why everyone hated it, it wasn't what they were expecting. Everyone was expecting it to be just like the last two complete and utter chaos. I am sooooo happy that they were all disappointed. It was written to show how much they grew as people in the last four years it's kind of like high school some of our friends we just out grow we love them but its time to move on. So on that note I say au revoir to this trilogy and lets hope it stays a trilogy.

Comedy lost it's funny bone

I used to love watching comedy movies but lately they have just not been funny. I mean they have there moments but most the time it feels forced, vulgar or they decided last minute they wanted to make a drama instead. I want to laugh not learn a life lesson. This is 40 was pretty amusing until the family BBQ then all the levity was drained out and shit got serious. They should have ended it before then and they would have had a decent movie but, no they added 45 more agonizing minutes of drama and you left feeling depressed and confused. People don't got to see a funny movie to get a lesson we pay to laugh and get away from our daily dramas so please keep it simple, lighthearted and drama free. Maybe Hollywood needs to revisit some of the great comedies like planes, trains and automobiles, caddy shack and the national lampoons so they can re grasp what the true meaning of comedy is. Because a cocaine snorting teddy bear that fornicates and curses does not a comedy make.
