Super Gr8t! *****

SPOILER ALERT: If you haven't seen this movie yet please be advised I will give away parts of the movie.

Well I finally got to see this movie and let me just say WOW. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked this movie. It was very well done but......yes I said but I feel they could have clued you into the relationship between the girls father and the boys father a little sooner. I found it very confusing and awkward at times you were thinking did she cheat with this guy what is going on.......but that is my only negative comment for this movie. I also thought wow kids are just not like this anymore I couldn't see kids running around with a camera and monster makeup I wish I did. It makes me want to run out and get my kids a camera so they can get creative. I also was thinking when the kids where trapped in the back of the bus kids today wouldn't be able to get out they would be staring at there phones waiting for it to help them lol. This movie brought me back to when I saw Goonies for the first time and how badly I wanted to go on and adventure with my friends. It made me long for those times and it made sad cause my kids will never have that freedom to go and be adventurous with all the crazy predators out there. but back to the movie I liked how you didn't really see the monster till the end and it left wondering what it looked like. The story flowed well and I didn't at anytime feel like it drug on which is very rare now a days most movies start out great get slow and boring in the middle and end horribly. At least this movie left you feeling good a little nostalgic for those times but just all around satisfied. I know its not that original of an idea (cloverfield) but the take on it with the kids making a monster movie and all was great. I really hope that more directors start looking for more unique and original ideas like these. If you haven't see this movie yet i say go rent it it's worth your time.  5 stars from me!!!
