Award shows: The change needed is.....
OK I just read the list of nominees for the Academy Awards and I am less then thrilled I could have sworn I just watched that award show a few weeks ago..........Now why do the Golden Globes and the Academy Awards have almost the same exact nominees? You know who is going to win because we already seen it and I don't know about anyone else but it defiantly does not make me want to tune in to see who wins again. In my eyes the Academy Award is the big one the best of the best and the Golden Globes is the second place or runners up if you will. So to make it interesting an new why don't they have the Golden Globes nominees be the honorable mention so to speak you know the actor/actresses and movie that deserve a nod but may not be Academy bound you know what I mean. So that way when the Academy announces there nominees it's different and also there will be less snubs....just a thought. I mean there are so many award shows can you make it worth our time to watch them and then maybe your ratings wouldn't be going down so badly. Also don't rush the shows let the presenters do a little skit or small speech that way there not just walking on saying here are the nominees and the winner is...... then off they go and let the host have some time to wow us I mean at the Golden Globes this year you hardly saw Ricky Gervais and the show felt so rushed that it was uneventful there was nothing to talk about afterwards. Not even a WTF moment......(well I guess the lack of WTF moment is the WTF moment lol). All I have to say is you need to rethink this and do something new to boost rating because lots of people are not watching anymore do to the fact that it's redundant and the movies or actors they feel deserve a nod never get one..... so lets step it up and make the changes needed.
