The Golden Globes

I love and hate award shows. I am always disappointed . But I have to say once I heard Ricky Gervais was hosting the Golden Globes again this year I couldn't wait to see them. I thought he was brilliant last year yes some say he was offensive and rude but come on take a joke people. Are you so uptight you can't laugh at yourself? I always say if you get upset it must be true otherwise you wouldn't care. So on the words of the ever charming Johnny Depp I don't know whats worse hearing your name coming from the presenters or out of Ricky's mouth....Let the show begin.

Well I have to say I am VERY disappointed with the Golden Globes this year and it wasn't Ricky Gervais' fault lol. By the way where was Ricky? You hardly saw him was it NBC's way  of doing "damage control" or was it because every one's speech went to long so they had to cut him out? either way unfortunately it left me wondering and saying i want more Ricky! I do have to say though that when Ricky was on i found him really funny but the show felt so rushed maybe instead of cutting out Ricky do less commercials lol. I know i know that's how they pay for this show by the commercials but i don't know this year something was missing. i did not agree with some of the winners this year but that's every year if i agreed with them all it wouldn't be fun to watch. some of the highlights of the night where when  Madonna went back at Ricky for his virgin comment But i wanted Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross to win for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo there score made the movie. Octavia Spencer's acceptance speech she was so cute how she was shaking and just couldn't believe she won i loved that it was so genuine. Glad to see a Brit won for best actor in a mini series I watch BBC religiously there t.v. shows are so much better then ours i mean they have Luther ,Torchwood and Dr. Who we have Jersey shore , Mob Wives and 50 million other stupid reality shows. I also loved Michelle Williams and Claire Danes speeches they should have won and i am so happy for them. but i have to say the most awkward moment was when Modern Family won for Best T.V. series comedy and SofĂa Vergara acted like she won herself. Homeland won for best T.V. series and i wanted Boardwalk Empire to win but i am not mad about it I haven't seen homeland yet and i like Claire Danes so all is fine and dandy lol. so congrats to all who won and hopefully next year it will go a little smoother.
