Super Gr8t! *****

SPOILER ALERT: If you haven't seen this movie yet please be advised I will give away parts of the movie.

Well I finally got to see this movie and let me just say WOW. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked this movie. It was very well done but......yes I said but I feel they could have clued you into the relationship between the girls father and the boys father a little sooner. I found it very confusing and awkward at times you were thinking did she cheat with this guy what is going on.......but that is my only negative comment for this movie. I also thought wow kids are just not like this anymore I couldn't see kids running around with a camera and monster makeup I wish I did. It makes me want to run out and get my kids a camera so they can get creative. I also was thinking when the kids where trapped in the back of the bus kids today wouldn't be able to get out they would be staring at there phones waiting for it to help them lol. This movie brought me back to when I saw Goonies for the first time and how badly I wanted to go on and adventure with my friends. It made me long for those times and it made sad cause my kids will never have that freedom to go and be adventurous with all the crazy predators out there. but back to the movie I liked how you didn't really see the monster till the end and it left wondering what it looked like. The story flowed well and I didn't at anytime feel like it drug on which is very rare now a days most movies start out great get slow and boring in the middle and end horribly. At least this movie left you feeling good a little nostalgic for those times but just all around satisfied. I know its not that original of an idea (cloverfield) but the take on it with the kids making a monster movie and all was great. I really hope that more directors start looking for more unique and original ideas like these. If you haven't see this movie yet i say go rent it it's worth your time.  5 stars from me!!!

OMG what do you mean you never seen that.........

I know we have all had moments like this at one time or another but a few years ago I was talking to my step-sister who is 7 years younger then me. I mentioned a scene from sixteen candles and almost fell out of my seat when she said she has never seen it nor any of the other John Hughes 80's films I mean who hasn't seen sixteen candles? That got me thinking that we needed a sister day movie marathon and education of what teen movies should really be like. So we watched Sixteen Candles, Weird Science , Breakfast Club and Uncle Buck. all movies that I feel everyone should watch at least ones in there life. Just recently she asked me what I wanted for Christmas so I asked for Goonies on DVD since I only had it on VHS and she again shocked me silly when she said she never seen it. The 80's for me where the best in film there were so many great movies and new ideas not like today where you have remakes of everything or two of the same exact movie come out at the same time. So I have compiled a list of movies I feel  everyone must see before they die. Again this is only my opinion and the list is slightly long. so if your wondering what you want to do tonight maybe pick one of these movies up and enjoy.
