Star Trek into Darkness *****
Wow what a ride! This movie is exciting and 2 1/2 hours long and you would think after sitting that long your bum would be tired bit no I wanted more. I grew up watching star trek my dad is a huge trekie so whoever did the casting was spot on they didn't miss a thing. It was so fun to watch the story had plenty to keep you captivated and the character developement continued from the first movie which is really cool because yes its a sequel but they way its written it just feels like the first one kept going you just had to change the disc. All I have to say is brilliant. J.J Abrams has given me hope for the future of movies. Because I was worried that when Lucas and Spielberg retired that would be the end of great vision and direction. So I say grab some snacks pick a seat and settle in to watch this movie you won't be sorry.

Super Gr8t! *****
Well I finally got to see this movie and let me just say WOW. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked this movie. It was very well done but......yes I said but I feel they could have clued you into the relationship between the girls father and the boys father a little sooner. I found it very confusing and awkward at times you were thinking did she cheat with this guy what is going on.......but that is my only negative comment for this movie. I also thought wow kids are just not like this anymore I couldn't see kids running around with a camera and monster makeup I wish I did. It makes me want to run out and get my kids a camera so they can get creative. I also was thinking when the kids where trapped in the back of the bus kids today wouldn't be able to get out they would be staring at there phones waiting for it to help them lol. This movie brought me back to when I saw Goonies for the first time and how badly I wanted to go on and adventure with my friends. It made me long for those times and it made sad cause my kids will never have that freedom to go and be adventurous with all the crazy predators out there. but back to the movie I liked how you didn't really see the monster till the end and it left wondering what it looked like. The story flowed well and I didn't at anytime feel like it drug on which is very rare now a days most movies start out great get slow and boring in the middle and end horribly. At least this movie left you feeling good a little nostalgic for those times but just all around satisfied. I know its not that original of an idea (cloverfield) but the take on it with the kids making a monster movie and all was great. I really hope that more directors start looking for more unique and original ideas like these. If you haven't see this movie yet i say go rent it it's worth your time. 5 stars from me!!!
